Victorian Mexican Fire Opal Pearl 14 Karat Gold Cabochon Pendant Brooch

• Centering an oval cabochon of Mexican fire opal measuring approximately 24.0 x 17.0 mm
• Claw set with translucent medium light orange color and very slight chatoyancy
• Belcher set at each cardinal point by a 4.0 mm round pearl
• Very well matched white in body color with strong iridescence and very good luster
• Completed by a pin stem with locking closure and a hinged bale
• Tested as 14 karat gold
• Circa: 1880s
• Measures: 1 3/16 x 1 7/16 inches  
• Total weight: 9.0 grams
